Synopsis

Album Description
Underneath the rooting bass of Daniel Schwartz is embodied the nervous impatience of Hip-Hop and Rap. In effect, the integrity of the unique sound of City: Works Of Fiction was so innovative that few, if none, could follow its lead. English Techno group 808 State would later remix ?Voiceprint?. Others like The Orb and Howie B would cite the importance of this album.

City: Works of Fiction
Gibson EB3 | USA | 08/30/2007
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Many years ago I found this album on cassette in a cut-out bin and picked it up for two dollars. Ever since then I've been looking for it on CD and I'm glad I finally found it.

This music may be too atmospheric for some tastes but I enjoy it's spacy-ness. I like to listen to it on hot, rainy, summer nights.

If you're expecting something like the playing Hassell did for the Talking Heads (Remain In Light) look elsewhere, this CD is nothing like the Heads.
