"This great CD contains the best songs from Hooker's best period. The best versions of Boogie Chillun, Little wheel, Hobo Blues, Dimples and other great numbers are all here.
It takes an emotionally flat and musically ignorant person to ignore Hookers's magnificent power and emotion, and to look for Jazz influence in his style. Hookers played African music in its Blues medium, in unparalelled beauty. I am sorry for those who do not have ability to enjow raw blues. For the many that do, I recommend this CD."
