My introduction to Klemmer

(5 out of 5 stars)

"Wow, it was so great to see this finally being released to cd. I remember buying this on vinyl some 10 years ago and I felt this really needs to be released to cd. I heard the song "Taboo" and became an instant fan. It was aired on the radio and I misunderstood the announcer's pronunciation(spelling?) of the artist but I did know the name of the song so I didnt have too much luck finding it right away until one day I was in a bookstore which sold used vinyl and I saw this album. I thought the name of the artist sounded familiar and I peeked the back cover to find a track called Taboo. I purchased the album and rushed home to find it was the song I heard on the radio. Wow, what a relief it was to finally have and to own. This is such a wonderful album. Klemmer provides so much spirit and feeling into this recording it will always remain to be a very special recording to me. Please do yourself a favor and give it a listen and then rush out to buy or click to buy, which ever you prefer. It may not be everyone's cup of tea but it is a joyous experience for those who enjoy superb early contemporary jazz with a message. Klemmer provides so much love to his listeners and I really mean listeners because you have to really listen to his music to get the full message. Klemmer is just a great artist in all so whatever this guy puts out is mind blowing. Well I wont ramble but I want to personally thank Wounded Bird for locating the master tapes and buying the rights to get this marvelous album released to cd. Solo Saxophone II was also released on the same day so grab them while you can. Now if we can get "Intensity" released to cd, we will be in business. Thanks for your time and reading, Happy listening"
