A long time coming, but worth the wait

"John's debut release on the Adelphi Label is much more than any of his many (multi-year) fans could possibly have expected, including the 6 originals. Particularly enjoyable of the originals are "sleepin'", "I'm a Fool for you," and the title cut "Under the Sun!!!John's Travis "style" guitar pickin', and his endlessly variable and sensitive keyboards, are the driving force of this incredible "first" release. And as if this wasn't enough, DC area rumour has it that John and Adelphi have been quietly working on a "Finger Picked" acoustic Christmas release, supposedly due to ship in about three weeks.... If it's anything like "Under the Sun" in quality and variety, it should be a holiday knockout. Remember his name, you'll be hearing MUCH MUCH MORE from him!!S.B. RosePS-I wonder why Amazon didn't include any "sample" soundclips? They're missing a good promo angle because there's not a "weak" song on the CD."

"If you enjoyed Eric Clapton's last few blues cd's you'll love this one from John Harbison. The guitar work is excellent. One note though: there are 14 songs on it. I don't know why Amazon is only listing 5???"

"......and the gypsy must have said that the music world is going to hear a lot more from JOHN HARBISON with his UNDER THE SUN album that has just been released. I received a "heads up" that it was on the way. I enjoy the "familiarity" of his music as his originals fit into traditionals like HESITATION BLUES and SHAKE RATLE AND ROLL. It is time for Harbison to be on a national concert tour.....vocalist, guitar and piano all rolled into one."
