"Ponders playing is as always outstanding, and the title track is a bouncing blues in the Montgomery tradition, with very nice bass playing by Dave Pellow. Although I think it helps if you are a "guitartriolover" to really appreicate this CD. In my opinion there is a slight lack of variantion due to the confined possibilties with a trio like this.On the the other hand, you really can hear Ponders playing in detail, how it is both simplstic and sophisticated at the same time, with very bluesoriented single lines,and very I would say unbeaten quality of chordsoloing. As said many times before I hope that Ponder get s the credit for what he is doing, he deserves that."
