"As an addendum to my prior review, there is a compilation of Jerry`s earlier works on a single 16 track CD called "In The Blood". It was issued on Indigo Records and has as follows;1} Walkin` on Water2} Over and Over3} So Young4} You and I5} Talk to Me6} Blues on My Table7} Gulf of Mexico8} Candy Barr9} Easy Driver10} Man and a Woman11} Buyin`, Beggin`, and Stealin`12} Red Ball Texas Flyer13} Naomi`s Song14} Fantasy15} Can`t Keep Her16} Day After Day These songs are off his earlier releases Take A Chance, Little Bit at a Time, In The Round, Saving Grace, Juicy Talk, Dangerous Stranger, and Hands On. Until his earlier works are released on CD, this will have to tie over all the `pelle heads."
Some early Riopelle history

"A little trivia, but not well known even to devout Riopelle fans; Once upon a time, Jerry Riopelle was with the ABC record label, before CD's were even thought of. Two of the vinyl albums he recorded while with ABC (that I know of) were "Saving Grace" [1974], and "Take a Chance"[1975]. There was a falling-out that ensued between the singer/songwriter and the record label, and Riopelle left rather suddenly. I believe that all of the vinyl remaining at that time under the ABC record label was subsequently recalled from the record store shelves. So you hard-core Riopelle fans may NEVER see some of Riopelle's earlier recorded works released on CD. This is truly a shame, as I feel his earlier work is some of his best."

"I went to school in Flagstaff at NAU in the mid-seventies. We went to Phoenix to see Jerry every chance we had. Like several other reviewers, I've worn away the vinyl on my LP's and would pay handsomely for remastered releases on CD. Jerry's music never fails to entertain. Tongue N Groove is rich in everything I've come to love about his music. If you are even remotely a Jerry Riopelle fan, you have to have this CD. 25 Years is too long to wait! Come on Jerry, release your old stuff on CD too!"
