CD Reviews

Watch out for the price.

"I actaualy got this cd at a new and use music store for only [a few bucks] new! it's the smae exact one here, which i was going to buy but then i saw the price at that music store.
it's worth my money plus more but i do wish the cd would have had more than it does, i exected it to be a fully remix song like other Jlo (maxi) singles. but o-well this may not be one of those singles but it's still good. this cd has five tracks

one. IM GONNA BE ALRIGHT,feat.NAS-like the song one the videotwo. IM GONNA BE ALRIGHT,jlo alone -same as first but with no
rap, this is more like the orignal but with the "new" beat. you
may have heard this version on the radio.also is longer.
three. IM GONNA BE ALRIGHT,instumental- this is just the beat.
Four. Alive, -remixed.
five. Alive,- remixed.

The orignal verson is not on her from the album JLO nor is the verson from J to the L-O!(the remixes). the one from JLo is the orignal with the almost latin beat and the one on J to the L-o! (the remixes) is the one with the new beat but with a different rap with a differnt rapper. Alive sounds good on both tracks, to me they sound alike. AM GONNA BE ALRIGHT, i wish they'd remix like on maxi singles on a part II cd to this song because you only get the commonly used beat that also P.Diddy is on his album FEVER. the beat has been sampled before also but that's ok it's a good song, infact the whole cd is good.
But don't be disapointed if you don't heard AM GONNA BE ALRIGHT with club beat remixed. I guess thay just didn't put it in this cd because it is already "remixed""
Good Single....Hot Song

"THe second single off her tight "J to tha LO! the remixes!" cd....this was a good track when the original appereard in "J.Lo" the album....now with the two different rappers on the Trackmaster's remix of this song, the song is EVEN BETTER!!
i LOVE the bassy beat to this track, that's why i especially love the instrumental to this song. It's one of those classic beats that will continue to be used forever on....Alive was an average song off her remix cd...the song wasnt bad, it's just that i expected a little bit more from her when it came from singing this song...now with the Thunderpuss remix and the last remix on this song...i LOVE the song even more...I like how they made a slow track into a danceable, yet slow song...THUNDERPUSS AND TRACKMASTERS DID A GREAT JOB WHEN IT CAME TO REMIXING I'M GONNA BE ALRIGHT AND ALIVE....5 ***** FOR THIS COMBO SINGLE!!!
bUY IT IF you like the songs...u'll love the cd single**********"
J.Lo in creative decline
Stretch | Boston, MA | 06/18/2003
(2 out of 5 stars)

"J.lo's recent work has shown a steady, creative decline. Her latest album was bland and un-inspired. And formulaic in that J.Lo sings the hook over a sampled beat, and brings in a few guest rappers for the remix.J.Lo's debut album, On the 6, Was a solid effort and sounded fresh. The tracks with guest rappers sounded interesting. The afforementioned decline began with her second album, Where the majority of boardwork was helmed by love-him-or-hate-him P.Diddy, it had a few great moments but was sub-par overall."I'm gonna be alright" continues this streak. The simple lyrics lag on, and the music was built around a Club Nouveau sample, and "I'm gonna be alright" makes uncreative use of it. The Luniz sample of the hook was superior.J.Lo gets a little help from her friends, rappers 50 Cent and Nas, they're presence doesn't help at all. Although the latter is up on his history, mentioning Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe. This single is nothing special."
