"Me Recordarras"

"There must be someone out there in this world that has heard of or loves the music of Javier Solis other than el gran fan de Colombia, Pedro Fonseca. Javier Solis had one of the most beautiful voices ever for singing romantic ballads which are known as boleros. The Mexican singer extrodanaire is presented here on the Sony label in its "Mexicanisimo Edition," reserved for the truly greatest singers Mexico has produced. A very moving collection of 24 songs that are some of his best. The songs are short and sweet, backed by world class mariachi musicians and the unforgetable voice of Javier Solis. To describe Solis 's voice would be unjust as it is one of the most melodic, velvety tones one can ever imagine. A deep, rich voice, unparralled by any contemporaries Solis stands in a class of his own. His treatment of Jose Alfredo songs are unforgetable. When Solis croons his version of "Llegango a ti" and says "poco a poco me voy acercando de ti"(little by little I am getting closer to you) and "solo pienso en tus besos"( I only think of your kisses) he evokes the passions that only is matched by the real thing. His voice is just a marvel, his emotions coming out clearly in his song for the listener to follow his passion. Quite simply, Javier Solis was one of the best of the boleros and one of the standards by which all who have followed are judged. This is the perfect disc for romance, that ageless emotion best shared with another. There are many songs featured here that are familiar to those that like Mexican music, including the Ruben Fuentes composition "Que Bonito es Mi Tierra" that resonates the theme of the disc "Mexicanismo." This is a super collection of Mexican favorites , perfect for setting the mood or to reflect upon those special moments in life. Recommended for those that savor the finest of Mexican vocals and romantic hearts everywhere. It is unnnessary but helpful to understand Spanish as the disc is in the language of love."
