"Contralto Aafje Heynis has a voice and vibrato like those of Marian Anderson and Kathleen Ferrier. These performances of Bach's cantatas BWV 169 and 170 are peerless and luminous. How wonderful it would be to hear her sing Mahler and Brahms as well. Even if this CD did not have a budget price, it would be well worth buying."
