CD Reviews

No One Has a Future
Andrea P. Price | Avondale Estates, GA USA | 07/18/2000
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Okay chances are you did not just stumble on this review by accident. If you are reading this then you probably have some history with J Church. Whether it is good or bad you must own this album. By far this is their best effort to date. Lance has written a beautiful opus that is laden with miraculous guitar chords, transitions and spectacular lyrics. Filling in on the vacant drum throne is Adam(from jawbreaker fame), who does a great job of thundering away great rhythms. Finally on the bottom end of the spectrum is Jeff who also does a marvelous job of making you beg for more. At 26 songs it still does not seem like enough but for the price you can't beat it. grab this up before it's too late. This one is destined to be a classic."

"Okay chances are you didn't just stumble on this record from out of the blue. It is a good possibility that you own another J Church record(or most of them). Suffice to say you have selected an awe inspiring release. Most J Church fans will appreciate the onslaught of Lance's guitar work as well as the wonderful lyrics. The drums are now powered by Adam Pfahler(from Jawbreaker fame) to a wonderful degree of perfection. While supplying the bottom end is Jeff Bursley. Overall this album deserves your attention. It is a beautiful collection of power pop/punk classics that will inspire you to no end. Plus at 26 songs for [the money] you can't go wrong."
