""Esto Si Es Lo Mio" is rightly viewed by many as Ismael Rivera's best album ever. The hit singles "Las Caras Lindas", "Ella No Merece Un Lanto" and "A Medias No" all became Salsa anthems of their era and are instantly associated with "El Sonero Mayor". Ismael was at his best here but (if that's not enough!) check out the killer coro of Adalberto Santiago, Ruben Blades, Tito Allen and Hector Lavoe. Any serious salsero needs to have this CD as it's a true masterpiece on all counts."

This is Ismael Rivera's Master Piece. If you say you have a collection of salsa music and do not have this album you are wrong.



Other thing: this is an original album, not a compilation of "hits". This is important because there is no way you can put all his best songs in a CD. And all those hits compilations always repeat the same songs. If you like his music you have to buy the original records, because almost everything he sang is good.



The only thing this production is missing is to have a song wrote by Rafael Hernandez, to have the three greatest puertorrican composers and the greatest sonero.





CARAS LINDAS (Pretty Faces) This song was wrote by Tite Curet Alonso, one of the greatest composers of Puerto Rico. Is a song dedicated to black people. This is one of the greatest hits of Ismael Rivera and is over 7 minutes long.

COMEDIA (Comedy) This is a love song. About those loves that never treat you the way you should be treated. This is a Five stars hit.

DE MEDIO LADO (Side Ways) This song is about a beautiful woman that have a littler defect on the way she walk. A five stars hit.

A MEDIAS NO (No Half Way) This song is a protest against the colonial status of Puerto Rico. A five stars hit.

LA PERLA (La Perla) Another song by the master Tite Curet Alonso. If you go to the Old San Juan an visit the fortress El Morro, at the side looking towars the Atlantic you will see a cementer and at its right you will see "La Perla".

ELLA NO MERECE UN LLANTO (She Doesn't Deserve A Cry) This song was wrote by Pedro Flores, one of the greates composers of Puerto Rico.

ANGELICA (Angelica). Is a bolero about a woman named Angelica. A five stars song.
