"I can vividly recall the last time I've been this anxious for an album's release...thirteen years ago, the s/t Jack Frost disc sat unopened on my table for days. Any fears that the sum of the parts were greater than the whole were quickly dismissed with the first chords of Every Hour God Sends. To this day, the album remains a masterpiece.



It's taken years, but there is finally an album to match the anticaption of the aforementioned release. Only this time, the disc was in the player before the cellophane hit the floor.



Jeffrey Cain (Remy Zero) and Steve Kilbey (The Church) have created an instant classic. Do yourself a favor and head to www.soundisidore.com and listen to the entire album in streaming format. Only then will you realize how difficult it is to describe the magical place the music transports you to...



Highlights for me include "Saltwater" and "One For Iris Doe". It's unfortunate that "Andalusion Dogs" (free download at www.karmichit.com via The Hall of Gifts) didn't make the final cut."

"Never the voice of Steve Kilbey sounded so beautiful and deep. Great gems of songs, more direct than THE CHURCH, more magnificient as well!!! Landscapes of music, better production than THE CHURCH (thank GOD). I wish it was a CHURCH album, but it's not, who cares anyway. I've been waiting this since Priest=Aura (my fav record of all time) came out. Steve touched by the hand of Krishna or whoever God was.



Unexpected, this will get you like a secret Upanishad.



A MUST, instantly one of my fav albums.

"Unlike the Church's last effort Forget Yourself, Isidore is a great place to start for the curious fan. More of a mix between Priest=Aura and Forget Yourself, Isidore offers a great blend of creative songwriting and rhythm than exceeds either album alone. I gave Forget Yourself 3 stars, but this really surpassed my expectations and I really recommend it to any Church fan. Standout tracks are Musidora, Temple St., Sanskrit, Transmigration and Nothing New(my favorite and reminds me of the b-side Anywhere). Several people thought that I Kept Everything was their best effort off Forget Yourself, if that's you then Isidore is your dream come true. Check it out."
