Synopsis

Product Description
Immaculada is the second album from Duncan Patterson's Ion. Featuring an
eclectic ensemble of uniquely gifted musicians, it presents a beautiful collection of timeless and passionate songs. The album's simple yet colorful use of cello, violin, acoustic guitars, flute, harp, piano and percussion paints an elegant backdrop for haunting vocal performances. Lead single/video 'Adoration' features the talents of
Latvia-born singer/performer Vic Anselmo. 'Temptation' and 'Invidia' reunites Patterson with Irish singer/composer Lisa Cuthbert. Viola Roccagli (All My Faith) brings life to 'The Silent Stars' while Argentinean vocalist Laura Santos brings the album to a close with Return to Spirit.'
Liverpool-born Patterson began his musical career as a member of Anathema.
His work with the doom metal pioneers is most revered on the albums Eternity
and Alternative 4, of which Patterson provided a healthy dose of the songwriting.
After his departure, Patterson teamed with vocalist/guitarist Mick Moss in
Anti-Matter. The duo, with Lisa Cuthbert, would record three albums before going their separate ways in 2005. Patterson spent this time traveling and developing the early ideas of Ion (penned after the gaelic word for 'pure').
Over the years, Patterson's songs have been featured in film, television, and special documentaries.
Immaculada's American release follows the European release of the album
where it has already enjoyed acclaim in Spain, Italy, Germany, Holland, and France.
