CD Reviews

Inka Inka - Great American Reggae Band!
J. DILLON | Rocklin, CA United States | 09/12/2002
(5 out of 5 stars)

"It's too bad they broke up because their music is still my favorite in the reggae genre. I saw them live in Santa Cruz and all over the Bay Area. Never did find out what happened. If you like good, happy reggae beats - you will love Inka Inka!"
Inka Inka is not lost completely
Paul D. Bacon | Santa Cruz, CA USA | 04/22/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"The previous reviewer said he didn't know what happened to Inka Inka after they broke up. I know what happened to some of the band. I live in Santa Cruz and am a Reggae lover. I saw Inka Inka as a backup band for Jimmy Buffett at the Shorline in Mt View CA around 1994. I took my two sons and we all thought they were fabulous. I loved them but didn't really follow them. I recently had a friend turn me on to the first two Inka Inka albums. We had been talking about another Reggae band with Santa Cruz roots that I found recently that I liked as well, called Dub Congress. I exchanged email with a couple of the band members because someone had told me that they had roots in Inka Inka. Found out that was true and two or three of the Dub Congress band members are from the old Inka Inka band. He said the other members are playing for a band called Groundation. I haven't explored them yet, but I will. They are based in San Jose Ca.

I like Dub Congress a lot too, but they aren't nearly as good as the old Inka Inka. Worth checking out though. They play lots of different venues in the Bay Area.

Anyway, I hope you check these reviews and see my response. If you would like more information drop me a email at pbacon3 at yahoo.com Not sure if they would let me put in a regular email type address on this review or not.

I am here to buy a copy of the last Inka Inka CD. There are a few used ones for sale."
