"I knew nothing of In The Nursery until I meet my wife Cyndi. She introduced me to this wonderful music and I am so thankful she did. ITN evokes so many feelings, some you thought you never had. Just the same way my wife made me feel. If you like Dead Can Dance, Cocteau Twins, This Mortal Coil, Clan of Xymox you will love ITN as well. The music will become a personal soundtrack to you and that someone you hold dear. If you are creative, put ITN on and the creative juices will flow like never before. Sadly, my wife passed away last year but I will always treasure this music until we are together again."

An undiscovered masterpiece

"I have an interesting story to tell. I originally picked this album up in late 1993 when it was available stateside and had been relesed, I assume in anticipation of the accompanying film. I was already an ITN fan, so I knew what to expect but was astonished at just how formidable this album was. After all the talk of how ITN seemed to record soundtracks to "inner movies" here for the first time was an actual score to accompany an actual film and it was magnificent. In fact, I dare say it is still the greatest film score I have ever heard and also one of my favorite albums of all time. I break it out regularly, and the fact that it has received so little exposure continues to irk me. This is the real thing kids. Of course part of the problem here is that the accompanying film never did turn up, and it's been like a Holy Grail quest for me to find this thing ever since. What higher praise could anyone give a soundtrack album? The familiar ITN sound is here, and in fact a number of the tracks here are simply reconstructed earlier ITN tracks. What makes it work so well is the fact that the overall context of this album provides the music, accompanied by numerous(but never intrusive) dialogue snippets from the film, a powerful and grand forum that despite all their great work before and since ITN has never matched again. The consistency of mood is simply amazing."
