CD Reviews

Interesting album...

"I have to admit that like most Americans I had never heard of In-Grid. She apparently busted out on the music scene a few years ago with a song called You Promised me and suddenly, people were dubbing her the new voice of the Europe.

Since I listen to a wide variety of European music and am an avid fan of the french-arabic singer Ishtar, I decided to go ahead purchase this album. I must say I wasn't disappointed.

First of all let me clarify, this album has a strong since of the French sound in it. The background music uses the types of instruments you hear in traditional mediteranian music. But don't let that discourage you from purchasing this CD.

True this cd is mostly a pop-dance album, it has a flavor all it's own. And might say that In-Grid has without a doubt one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard. She can actually sing really well. I got my hands on a copy that had additional tracks for Viola, the english release and wow! If she worked on her English and her style a bit more she could cross over into the US no problems!

"

"I Loovvveee European music. Infact, I don't listen to any American music at all. I have heard numerous European songs and In-Grid stands out as one of the best singers I've heard. Her style is very dancish with beautiful mediterranean sounds. If you liked her first album, Rendezvous, then this is a must have as well. The songs Le Coquin and L'Amoureuse are to die for. Her French is beautiful. After you listen to this album, you will want to run to the store and buy a learn French now book so you can sing along. Honestly though, you don't need to know French to enjoy her music."

"I was dissapointed when I bought this CD.

Deffinietly the first-"Randez Vous" is much better!

There is a few nice songs, but not that good as previous albums."
