CD Reviews

Don't Hesitate!

(5 out of 5 stars)

"If you are a fan of The Impressions, and you do not have a lot of their Curtom material, don't hesitate to pick up this collection. It is a full two discs (45 songs) of rare heaven, featuring ALL of the group's singles on Curtom! Curtis Mayfield is still leading The Impressions on hits like "Choice Of Colors," "This Is My Country," and "Check Out Your Mind." But other lead singers (Leroy Hutson, Fred Cash, Reggie Torian, and Ralph Johnson) are also featured, along with Sam Gooden's dependable baritone. And the price of this collection is incredible! You could pay nearly three times as much for a different compilation that is an import, and you wouldn't get as much music. So don't hesitate! Deals like this, on music that is of such a high quality, don't come along every day. Outside of buying each Curtom Impressions album separately, you won't find a better retrospective on their 70s material!"
