About one year ago, Gregor Praml asked me to adapt some of Nine Rota's music for a quartet.
I chose to underline the 'sentimental aspects of music I thought most significant, and adapt them to the technical characteristics of the quartet.

Little by little, a new concert program developed. Besides famous pieces by well-known composers, there are less renowned, or even forgotten ones.
We have tried to keep quality and variety together, going from dramas to historical films, western movies and comedies.
The end product represents different styles and historical periods in Italian cinema.

ALBERTO MOMPELLIO
