CD Reviews

Just OK
Kenneth J. Lehocky | Chicago, IL | 04/13/2007

"It was nice to hear some Human League songs that I didn't know

existed, and it was good to hear Phil Oakey's voice again, but I can see why they may have received mixed reviews when this was originally released.

The several short instrumental synth interludes have a more catchy beat than the tracks with vocals.

It seemed to me on a whole that the lyrics were lame.

From listening to the whole cd it seemed to me that the synth interludes would have done well if they were developed into full length songs.

To me it seemed like a lot of material was half finished and the rest was unpolished.

"Just glorious...this is one of the best up-tempo CDs EVER. I can't believe this CD has passed me by for so long. It's better than I could have expected from Human League. WOW! The beats grab you and never let go and still infuse some great melodies."
