CD Reviews

First-hand review

(5 out of 5 stars)

"I received my CD and had a chance to listen to this album. I was not at all disappointed. The Gatlins cannot be beat for the beautiful blending of their voices, and Larry Gatlin is a supreme solo singer. As I had expected, "My Last Love Song" was a particular favorite, but there are many more. Another special favorite is "When The Night Closes In. I think the Gatlins specialty is Gospel songs, and there is a touch of this in this song. "You Wouldn't Know Love" is especially poignant. I found "Rain" very touching and enjoy listening to it very much. So many good choice"
Another Gatlin Brothers Winner!

"I'm hoping I'm eligible for the first review prize even though I haven't received my CD yet. I just ordered it and listened to the five samples provided on the website. I knew right off that my favorite will be "My Last Love Song". It struck a chord with me as soon as I heard the first notes. My favorite to date is Gatlin album, which I bought from Amazon is "Gatlin Brothers Gospel Songs", and I listen to it often. I'm hoping they decide to do another Gospel album, as they excel in this field."
Just as good the second time around

"Just keep the re-releases coming!! Although I own both of these albums in vinyl (what's that??) it is real hard to play them in my cd player. I am so pleased to have them on cd I can't tell you. Now down to the review. NOT GUILTY some good songs, "She Used To Sing On Sunday", "What Are We Doin Lonesome?", "Good Wilbur", "My Last Love Song" all together easy listening and oh I love "Someone Else's Day". HOUSTON TO DENVER Larry is in f-i-n-e voice on this album, notably on "When The Night Closes In" and "Dream That Got A Little Out Of Hand". "Houston" needs no explaination.........# 1 HIT. "The Lady Takes The Cowboy Everytime" is catchy and a good two-stepper, and if it's a hurtin song you want, along with "Dream......" try it "IT'S ME" These guys are always worth listening to, you won't be disappointed"
