Arabic Tabla...hence the play on words "tolo sabla/ solo tabla")The drum he plays is also known as a Goblet Drum or Belly Dancing Drum. Anyways if you are into the Doumbek (it's catching on) with its peircing highs and booming lows, this CD will be like an inspiring star the pulls you forward. This is solo Doumbek at it's best. He uses a great variety of rythms-everything from very traditional arabic rythms to very complex syncopated offshoots of those rythms. Most this CD is played fast with alot of energy. Enjoy!"
