"On this two disc compilation of the greatest hits, Los Hermanos Rosario are honored for their inventive, rhythmic style of music that many present day groups from the Dominican Republic now lack. Similar to the status El Gran Combo holds in Puerto Rico as being the grandfather of salsa bands, Los Hermanos Rosario hold the same distinction in the merengue industry.Just like in most greatest hits collection, some of the band's hits have been remixed in a club remix that would sound awesome even today. Classics like "Pecadora," (which was played in the Pedro Almodovar film, "High Heels") still can get a crowd moving. Another hot, "Me Tiene Amarrao ," ("You Have Me Tied Up") appears three times on this collection, and each version sounds great as the next one. Listening to the album will give you a glimpse of a band that introduced merengue to mainstream audiences throughout the world. Although they are no longer together as they were during the 1980's, this is an essential album for anyone wanting to explore the various forms of tropical Latin music out there."
