"As a lover of Sitar music, I must say that after first having the gift of hearing her play in person and then listening to the CD, she is a MUST for any Sitar enthusiast. Her attention to traditional rag theory combined with her love of the music and her Guruji, is expressed in the music. To listen to her is to touch India and to bring peace to the soul. I highly suggest Gayaki Sitar.

of Hasuji (whom we address as Auntiji). I have begun to
journey into the abbyss that is traditional indian music.
Gayaki Sitar is an important work. It shows the Gayaki
style as the very unique system it is. It allows the sitar
to "sing" rather than to be a mere metal instrument.
I recommend this CD even more (if that were possible) for
all serious devotees and affectionado's of traditional indian
music."
