"Excelent idea to reissue this Handel's opera arias recital with the wonderful french contralto Nathalie Stutzmann (not a mezzo, but one the few true female contralto of our time!) She gives a great artistic experience singing all the pieces with her incredibly magnetic dark voice and perfect technique. Stutzmann shows here a total control and a full understanding of the handelian style. Forget Larmore, Murray, Blythe... and, of course, all the countertenors (except Daniels, maybe) for this kind of repertoire.

If you want to listen the magic of the contralto voice in a baroque program, it's a must to have this cd!"
