CD Reviews

So very very good

"Ok, i'm not one to give out a 5 star rating, but this album is wonderful. That's really the word to use. There are some sad songs, and some upbeat ones, but they all imbue a sense of life and wonder at our world. I didn't know what to think about this guy at first. I'm a huge fan of a band he was/is in called Honey Is Cool, but they sing in English. I know 2 words in Swedish, neither of which are spoken on this album, but from the first song it doesn't seem to matter. I can't understand the lyrics, and musically it's not terribly innovative, but it has managed nonetheless to be the freshest, most wonderfully positive record I've heard in a long time. Every song from the first to the last is so, so good."
NOT the Swedish Chef!

"When you realize you're singing baby-talk "Swedish" in public, it's hard to decide whether you're exceptionally cool or a little pathetic. Hakan Hellstrom belongs to the respectable school of pop, not to be confused with the embarassing N'Sync school. His music is sophisticated, and his lyrics are too--if you bother to translate them (or are lucky enough to BE Swedish). The songs on this album range from the melancholy Nu Kan du Fa Mig to En Van med en Bil, which just makes you wanna dance. It doesn't matter if you don't speak a word of Swedish--Hakan Hellstrom is wonderful."
Amazing

"This is a GREAT album! His lyrics are so wonderful. Not many albums have 10 very good songs... I highly recomend "atombomb" the lyrics are really telling us how it is to be young. I also think you should check out "Broder Daniel" a great band, Håkan is the bass player."
