CD ReviewsA most romantic Schoenberg Frank Barcone | Kansas City, Kansas | 10/17/2002 (5 out of 5 stars) "I bought this recording on the recommendation of a friend who had the Rattle version and was left unsatisfied by the performance.Mr. Craft's recording has a deep and satisfying orchestral coloring that I did not find in the Rattle. His personal relationship with Schoenberg's music seems to guide him through this important work with a clarity and musicality that makes this work sing.The singers on this record also do not let you down. The soprano is a new name to me. Since hearing her on this recording I have searched for more recordings by her but have not found any. Also, the liner notes are thorough and excellent. Mr. Craft has helped me to enjoy Schoenberg like I never have before."
