CD Reviews

An Amazing Value
Scott FS | Sacramento, CA United States | 02/07/2007

"If you like classical guitar music (and even if you're not really a fan), this CD is hard to pass up at this great price! I know some of the pieces are available elsewhere, but this is just a wonderful CD to put into the home system or the car, and be entertained by good to very good guitar playing.

There are a couple of pieces which are not easy to find (Carulli and Sor, for example) that are worth the price of admission themselves. That's how I found this CD, searching after hearing the Carulli piece on the local classical station.

A solid addition to the classical library. Recommended."
The 19th century's most renowned shredder!

"Giuliani performed with many of the top musicians of the day - Beethoven once said he made the guitar sound like 'a miniture orchestra' and that is certainly true judging by this album. I'm not usually a classical music fan, but after attempting to play Giuliani's "Maestoso" on the guitar I realised that there was more to classical music then I thought, purchasing this album is a great investment. Not only does it open your eyes to how amazing classical music can be, it makes you wonder how someone can write such influencial music."
My favorite CD

"I bought this as a cassette around the late 80's and it is by far my favorite compilation of guitar music. Sometime in the past few years, I could not find the cassette and am so thankful to find this now on CD.

This album motivated me to start playing classical guitar, which I still play today. You'll truly enjoy this!"
