Excellent performance of music not heard enough

"These performances of Grieg's lyric pieces brings them to life exceptionally well. Grieg's fresh approach to the folk tunes and his chord progessions occasionally catapult the listener into a preview of the 20th century. Einar Steen-Nokleburg plays with a real feel for the music; his shading and nuance of the slower Op. 38 pieces is noteworthy. Grieg's lyric pieces as a whole stand with anything written for piano in the 19th century, including Debussy."
