"Well, I don't know how "Raven" managed to imitate van Vliet quite so well, and looking at his picture, I have to wonder how two guys can look and sound so alike.But that mystery aside, the musicianship on this is super, well up to Peter Green's standards, but really ensemble work of a high order. The tunes swing with grit. And it's definitely a paean to Beefheart's bluesier streaks. This one is going to grow on me for a while.I picked this up on a gamble because I like P. Green and Beefheart, and I really liked what I could hear from the soundclips. I got the CD today, and I'm very pleased with what I'm hearing with real sound. This one's a gem. Who knows, maybe it's the Cap's blues album. ;-)"
