"I am shocked that a previous reviewer ranked this collection a "3" -- that boggles the musical mind. The reviewer was correct in pointing out the prohibitive price. Perhaps a 50% discount for the set is in order, if the purpose is to make the collection of Ashkenazy's concertos performances affordable to the general public. It's unfair to rank down a set like this simply because the specific person reviewing already owns much of the works in separate CDs. Reviewers should rank the quality of the playing, not if they can afford it or not. Yes, complain about the price, but don't rank based on your individual budget or record collection. You're suppossed to be informing listeners about the quality of music in the collection, not your personal complaints about price or selection repetition."
