They perform: Sigurd Jorsalfar, incidental music, Op. 22; Landkjending (Land-Sighting), cantata for baritone, male chorus, orchestra & organ ad lib, Op. 31; Bergliot, melodrama for speaker & orchestra, Op. 42; Sørgemarsj over Rikard Nordraak (Funeral March in memory of Rikard Nordraak), for piano (or winds) in A minor, EG 107 (arranged for orchestra by Johan Halvorsen); and Den bergtekne (The Mountain Thrall), for baritone, 2 horns & string orchestra, Op. 32. The baritone soloist is Hakan Hagegard. The male choir is drawn from the Bergen Philharmonic Choir, Kor Vest, and Seim Songkor. Gorild Mauseth performs the narration in Bergliot. The Funeral March in Memory of Rikard Nordraak, in the Halvorsen arrangement, was performed at Grieg's own funeral by his request.
