Mrs. Miller didn't believe it possible!

"My father, Joe Gershenson, was music director at Univeral Pictures and reproduced the Glenn Miller sound with the great musicians of the day with his protege, Hank Mancini by his side. Miller's widow was against this project as she didn't believe anyone could reproduce the Glenn Miller sound. She was thrilled when she heard what my dad could do and gave her blessings.
Both my father and Mancini received Academy Award nominations for this music. I sat in on the recording sessions - great memories!"

"This an excellent soundtract recording. Unfortunately it is not by Glenn Miller. I have Cd's of Glenn Millers but they all sound flat. This recording is alive and vibrant. To bad that it is out of print. J Frich"

"I'm suprised no one has said anything about this cd.
I think this is Henry Mancini conducting Glen Miller's orch, but I can't be sure. That said, this is the best Glen Miller I've ever heard. There is a really kick to the music here."
