"In a day and age where most of the female artist on the charts have nothing to say. Ginger Mackenzie has plenty to say. This is another great record from Ginger. I have been a fan of hers for quite some time and she is never dissapointing. Her lyrics are captivating and poignant and her voice is unique and emotive. I would recommend any one of Ginger's records. She is an artist and one hell of a songwriter. Anyone that can cover a Joni Mitchell song and improve upon it it is my hero. The new record is fantastic. Her voice has never been better!! You will be moved by this record."

"One great song after another. This albun is even better than the last. Insightful lyrics, but not self indulgent like most. A great balance of insight and wit. I have seen Ginger live as well and she is so comfortable and personable on stage, and, that girl can sing. I would recommend this album to anyone. My friends that only listen to country music love Ginger as well as the ones that love rock and alternative. She has a universal sound....and she's a babe."

"Ginger is the best! This stuff just gets better the more you listen. If you like Indigo Girls, Ami Mann, that kind of folk-rock vibe, you will like Ginger."
You Gotta Love Ginger

"Not only is this album wonderful. Ginger is such a warm, approachable and natural person. I mean anyone as popular as she is that answers her own email and takes time to talk to everyone at her shows has got to be cool. Hopefully when she is a big start she will keep those humble qualities. I would say this album is my favorite right now. Every song is great ad I have always loved her lyrics. She always says the things I can't figure out how to say. She backs it up live as well. Her band is fabuous and that girl can sing."

"This CD was in a box of CDs I bought on a whim. I listened to it with no expectations as I was unfamiliar with Ginger Mackenzie, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked the disc. What initially made me want to listen to it was to hear her cover of Joni Mitchell's classic "Help Me." Ginger does a credible re-working of Joni's hit song, and it fits in nicely with the rest of the program. Two songs, in particular, struck me with their poignant and powerful lyrics. First was "Shoes", which closes with: "I'm not so innocent, I'm not so brave. Sometimes, to my demons I'm a slave. Most of the time I feel I'm walking on a wire. One false move and I fall into the fire." The second song I thought was particularly impressive was "I'm Over It." The lyrics pack a universal punch I think we all need to remember: "I thought I would never get over it. What do you know, I'm over it. 'Cause life goes on, on and on..." The musical accompaniment balances gracefully with the vocals and makes for a very enjoyable listening experience."
