"This is a fine original album released in 1964 in which BRASSENS is in full command of his mastery for playing with words. The title tune was used for a movie of the same name. Many songs here do not appear in usual collection of greatest hits :LA TONDUE,VENUS CALLIPYGE,LE GRAND PAN.GEORGE BRASSENS has now a well deserved cult following. He is one of few artists who remained himself without compromise from the beginning to the end,and in showbusiness that's really something."
