Another extraordinarily gifted but neglected composer

"Another grateful surprise by Naxos. The tone poem "Le Roi Athur" is a masterpiece of orchestral colour. The heroic theme of brilliant fanfares, which serves as the "leitmotif" of the first movement, is full of melodic freshness and lift up one's heart.
Passages of epic and powerful brass alternate with others of dramatic tension, in this great romantic canvas of medieval adventures and emotions.
Thanks for restoring this marvellous composer and his symphonic oeuvre."
