Excellent Comeback Album For George Duke!

"The 1989 CD release of 'Night After Night' marks the period in George Duke's career when the keyboardist was as edging very slowly toward a poppier,less jazz-funk fusion sound.But that doesn't happen with most of these songs-after two excellent quality but commercially disasterous albums for Elektra in 1985 and 86 this album consists mainly of high quality uptempo funk and fusion.On the latter side the dynamic opener "Miss Wiggle" features some of Duke's finest keyboard playing in the decade and the CD bonus track "Fuzzion" is an explosive reunion with Billy Cobham and Stanley Clarke-a total throwback to the golden age of jaz fusion in the 1970's."Children Of The Night" is a wonderful pop funk tune while "Brazillian Coffee" brings Duke right back to his classic latin jazz stylings.'Night After Night' is a very strong album,actually just a step or so higher in quality from his next CD 'Snapshot' and despite it's expence is a highly recommended item in his catalog!"

"If i could play keyboard, i would want to play as prolific as George Duke. I am a bassist. George plays the best keybass solos you would ever want to hear on this project. I have lost and bought this cd twice. I now have it on my ipod so i will not lose it again.I highly recommend this cd! This project is one of my favorite to practice to."
