Rogers | UK | 01/21/2008 (5 out of 5 stars) "This has been a favourite CD of mine for almost 20 years now and I must have lent it to a friend and then forgot who.Hence I have recently replaced it.The Parley of instruments is a brilliant group-I have played with them myself on numerous occasions and Roy Goodman is one of my heros. He is such a wonderful musician and I learned almost every thing I know about making a good sound on gut strings from him.Muffat is a great composer for writing lovely viola parts (i am a viola player) and so to hear fantastic music played by my favourite colleagues is a joy.There are many ways of interpreting this music and this is demonstrated by several other recordings on the market -all good in their own way.This one ,however,has a special place in my heart."
