"My meeting with Geoffrey Oreyma music came like a love as first sight. It was a autumn day and I have decided to spend my lunch break in a Tower Records store in Washington, DC. When I got into the store, "Land of Anaka" was playing. I was so fascinated that I asked a store agent what CD was playing. He brought me "The African Odysseus and told me that I cöuld listen to other titles of the album on the listening board. Which I did and immediately purchased the CD. Since then I have not stoped listening to the magical rock brought to us by Oryema and that is so deeply rooted into our African tradition. Thanks Oryema for a wonderful work!"

"I first saw Geoffrey Oreyema on Peter Gabriels Womad Tour in Atlanta, Georgia in 1995. I was blown away and have bought every album he has made. This disc is a collection of his works based around his return to his homeland and his spiritual journey. Truly amazing music that is in a category all his own. Thats the best way to describe him! If you like world music artists or any of the Real World compilations this is a must have disc. If you don't get this one then get "Exile". My personal favorite."

"Unfortunately, I am familiar with only this one tune having heard it on the radio, but it has been my favorite mellow tune for many years... so soothing and "floaty." I look forward to hearing the rest of this man's work."
