"This CD focuses on Gene Krupa as a bandleader rather than a soloist. Gene's Band could really swing and the vocals by Irene Daye are a bonus. If you are a fan of this era, you will love this CD."

"What first got me excited about this CD was not just the 1st chair playing of Krupa & his band, but the terrific sound clarity even with some minor hiss, most of the material is very early 1940's. I compared this with another CD by Woody Herman Greatest Hits collection. Herman had a great band, but for some reson Krupa just swings better. Solid buy for all you gone cats! DIG!!!"
