CD Reviews

The Ultimate Collection!
Martin A Hogan | San Francisco, CA. (Hercules) | 05/02/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Gary Wright was born in New Jersey, but he started recording in 1967 and then moved on to work with "Spooky Tooth". In 1970 he was one of many upcoming talents that helped with George Harrison's keyboards on his famous 3-LP, "All Things Must Pass". Now this collection gathers the best from his studio recordings from 1971 to 1998. Its mostly a seventies sound with blockbusters like, Love Is Alive" and "Dreamweaver", but other songs like "Touch And Gone" are thrillers. Along with those, he manages some good heart-breaking ballads, such as, "Someone Like You". The songwriting, instrumentals and vocals are all top notch and this is really the best collection available with great liner notes."
Good collection but missing vital song
Jeffery D. Cobb | Wild, Wonderful West Virginia | 08/13/2007
(4 out of 5 stars)

"This is a good sample of Gary Wright's work, but it is missing one of his better songs, "Love is a Rose." The collection is not complete without this song, in my opinion."
