CD ReviewsWonderful CD Karen F. Wynn | Port Chester, NY, USA | 12/19/2006 (5 out of 5 stars) "I have been a fan of Spandau Ballet for years, I love their music thanks to the brilliant writing talents of Gary Kemp and every band members wonderfully great contributions. Spandau Ballet is one of the very best bands of all time and Gary's solo LP is worth listening to. No it's not Spandau Ballet and no Gary doesn't have Tony Hadley's vocals but he has a really great voice (fav song Lady Soul) with great range. The music has a celtic flare and a soulful blend. Don't buy it expecting a Spandau Balllet album, buy it if you're interested in great music & songs that stand on their own. Definitely recommend this album, it's worth more than a listen, it's worth a chance by fans and non fans alike. A+++, it really is a great CD." Absolutely amazing Elizabeth A. Hardel | Chicago, Illinois | 09/14/2009 (5 out of 5 stars) "Like other's, I've been a Spandau Ballet fan for years, decades actually. Living in America and this album not being released out here, I didn't discover this gem until about five years ago. From the first listening it became and remains my absolute favourite album/cd I've ever had. Sure I've always been a fan of Gary's, always loved how he writes, but to me this album is just a step above everything else out there. Very unexpected, very Irish, very deep and just the best lyrics. I've always thought he was the best songwriter of our generation, I still not only think this but know it to be true. Go on, buy it, you won't be sorry!" Ex-Spandau Ballet, now actor... derring dodette | Orlando | 06/07/2006 (3 out of 5 stars) "Gary and his brother Martin formed Spandau Ballet in 1979, and were really the only two to succeed from there on (check out Wikipedia for great detail on the highs and lows of the other 3 artists.) This solo album was released in 1996 by Gary, who also acted in the movie 'The Bodyguard' with Kevin Costner, in the role of the ever-so-slightly slimey publicist, Sy. If only he had Tony Hadley's (SB's lead singer's) voice..."
