Crandle | GR,MI | 02/22/2010 (4 out of 5 stars) "This 2 CD set has GangGreen's best album "Another Wasted Night", a classic of the 80's Boston scene.It contains the often covered "Alcohol" plus "Skate to Hell" and a couple suprising covers.Every tack is great and it just works as a whole.As of 2010 the original Taang version of this album is out of print and becoming more difficult and expensive to come by.This may be the easiest and cheapest way to get a hold of this.
The second disc is the bands return to Taang in the 90's "Another Case of Brewtality".While not as raw as their earlt stuff, this album is a bit of a return to form for GangGreen. It's better than the late 80's crossover albums they did. It's got 23 songs and the majority of them are quite good.They do a good job of combining their early punk/hardcore sound with the later thrash style. Overall "Another Wasted Night" gets 5 stars and "Another Case of Brewtality" gets 3 1/2. Worth the price just for "Another Wasted Night"." |
