Absolutely horrible

"Being a big fan of the Guilty Gear series, especially its rockin' metal soundtrack, my curiousity was aroused when I saw this album in the listings. A vocal version of its soundtrack? Sounded fishy to me, having bought an earlier vocal-type CD by Lapis-Lazuli which sadly was disappointing. As the saying goes, once bitten...

But then,I figured maybe it wouldn't be as bad. Maybe, just maybe, it'll be better than the last attempt to put lyrics into a videogame soundtrack.

Nope didn't happen.

It is quite possibly the worst CD I've ever bought in my entire life. Which isn't saying much 'cause I'm still young, but still!

Why is it crappy? Well, for one thing, the songs are merely remixes of the original OST, lengthened or shortened so that the lyrics "fit" into the different tracks. That's it. No original renditions of the songs, which the GGX vocal tracks had, though they weren't much good. At least they tried. The producers for this one were just plain lazy. Or talentless. Maybe both.

"Lyrics"? They barely tried to rhyme, much less make sense, most never even tried to follow any form of rhythm with the songs. At least the GGX vocal tracks were in Japanese; I couldn't understand most of what was sung there. If people thought the lyrics for the latest Sonic games were bad, these were worse.

As for the wailing they called "singing", it was horribly laughable. Amateur at best. I have a feeling these guys were simply picked out of some karaoke bar by the producers, the sole reason being that they were "singing" some low-rate nu-metal song at the top of their lungs. These guys are even worse than Lapis-Lazuli. It doesn't help that they wrote the lyrics too. You'd think that with all the popularity the Guilty Gear series has, that they'd get some real musicians to work with.

I wish I had listened to myself and had not bought this god-awful thing. I implore you, don't even consider buying this thing. I had a better time in the toilet reading the instruction manual for a calculator. I'm only gonna lend it to my friend just so I won't be the only one who had the agony of listening to such garbage.

No, sorry. That's an insult to garage. At least animals can eat most garbage.

I just can't rate this any lower. The stars go only down to one."
