In her second recording for EMI Classics, Gabriela Montero has returned to this tradition, and presents 'Bach & Beyond'. Others may have used Bach's music as a starting point for improvisation - take Keith Jarrett or Jacques Loussier - but Gabriela's style is different. She uses all of her musical influences to take us on a journey through music. She begins with Bach, travels through Debussy, Chopin, Jazz, and even to the folk music of her own country, Venezuela.
