Excellent Wagner performances

"This two-cd set presents very interesting Furtwangler's recordings of pre-war and war time. The first disk contains much more valueable recordings than the second one. These are Lohengrin act 3 extracts with fantasic singing of Volker and Muller and glorious conducting by Furtwangler, excellent Tannhauser ouverture and exciting Parsifal prelude act 1. Sound quality is very different from noisy to good enough as recordings cover 1931-1942 years. There is probably one error date - Lohengrin was recorded at 1936 Bayreuth (not 1931 as pointed in this set) ."
