"Franz Ferdinand. Franz Ferdinand. How do I love thee? I shall count the ways...First of all, I love the name. Not only is it oratorically and phonetically sound, the meaning behind it seems almost anarchical. Indeed, the actual person Franz Ferdinand caused the first World War by his death. Maybe not anarchic, but the name is just perfect for a rock band.I also love the music. Sometimes, you just need fun music, and Franz Ferdinand definitely delivers. My ultimate favorite, 'Take Me Out,' has this great, intoxicating rhythm that changes halfway through the song. You can scream to it, sing to it, tap your foot to it, whatever. Either way, after hearing this song a few times, you'll find yourself humming it, rather out of tunely, anytime there is silence.
Another great song on the disc is 'Dark of the Matinee.' Although not engulfing all of the greatness of its predecessor, 'Take Me Out,' it still has a great sound, and in some senses, is more singable.
Finally, 'This Fire,' is also a noteable song. I find myself repeating this one almost as often as 'Take Me Out.' This song has the beat, sound, rhythm, lyrics.I also like the fact that for some reason, it feels like summer when I play the CD in my car. It's danceable, head banging, sing-along music that is priceless!Let's face it; Franz Ferdinand is quite excellent. Really!"

"one mans opinion... one opinion that is really off lol... this CD is refreshing in a very good way. Hot Hot Heat's singer is far too annoying I dont see the comparison at all.. these guys are much better songwriters. Anyways, highly recommend this one."
