Well Worth Waiting For!

"I ordered this CD on 1-31-00 and have not received it as of yet. But I can assure anyone that it is well worth the wait. This was an album that should have been a huge commercial success. Sadly, it was not. This album contains some of Frank's best guitar work. Frank channels Jimi through his Gibson SG, and then some, but makes it all his own style. Frank even touches on a little Johnny Winter-esque guitar riffs with the cut "Well Maybe Next Time." Though Frank does know restraint. The hit from the album, "Strange Dreams," maybe the greatest rock song ever recorded that has no guitar solo. Imagine that?And for the heavy metal fans, Frank aims to please with the title track. It contains one of the best endings that I've ever heard. This crescendo will put anyone's subwoofer to a test. Especially with today's digital, distortion-free sound.Yes, this CD puts to rest the argument, "Is 70's rock better than 90's rock?""

"In the 80's the song Strange Dreams was or should of been a great hit. The whole album Kicks Butt, this is one you well want to crank up, the guitair solo's are awesome and the energy is at a peak from start to finish, I have been looking for this CD since Cd's came out, if you love Frank Marino this well satisfy you to no end..."

"Great 2nd solo effort from Canadian's Frank Marino & Co. Every so often I'll hear one of his songs from this album like "Juggernaut" or "Strange Dreams" on an obscure radio station..... it will bring me quickly back to 1982-83 and seeing him shred on stage at the Nassau Coliseum out on Long Island. It is truly sad that this axe-man never really got top billing or rec'd much commerical success. His guitar licks are truly music to the ears. Marino's first solo, "The Power Of Rock & Roll" is a close 2nd to "Juggernaut", but I still like this one best... possibly for the magical and celestial feel I get from "Strange Dreams". Other good songs are "Midnight Highway" and "Maybe It's Time". No crazy metal or lite pop here - just your basic blue collar hard rocking tunage. Somehow reminiscent of some old Pat Travers albums I have. Nice to see Marino's early and hard to find stuff coming out onto CD (as imports) in 2000-2001. It's about time."

"This is one of his signature albums which he has continued to honor live. "Strange Dreams" is a classic song with a slight hypnotic flavor. I remember when this song got played on the radio back in '82. Great CD start to finish. If you like Jimi Hendrix, Pat Travers, and Robin Trower I can't see how you wouldn't like this and so much more of Frank's work. Frank can go from heavy metal to jazz and blow you away at both ends of the spectrum! Check out "Double Live". There is a great live version of Strange Dreams on it also. As you will see on this website, almost all of the reviews for Frank's albums have 5 stars. There is good reason for this."

"This CD release was really worth waitin`.Strangely it took twenty years for me to get decent copy of it besides old rusty c-casette.Actually this album is the only reason why I still own a casette player.This this CD is The release of a decade.Best rock`n`roll album ever done.And in my opinnion Juggernaut belongs to top 3 albums of all times and all genres.The songs are incredibly good,band relly ROCKS and Gibson sings in the hands of a wizard.Just listen the last guitar fill of "Midnight highway", huh,,,And how bitter my friends are when I got thi first!"
