A Nice Little EP

"The first two tracks, Best Of You (Live) and DOA (Demo Version) aren't really anything new or special and are pretty much the same as their album counterparts. The other 4 songs are what really make this EP worth getting. Skin And Bones sounds very folksy, and the drums and bass keep up a quick tempo. The song is certainly not heavy but I can guarantee it'll get your feet tapping. World (Demo) is probably the best song on this EP. When I first heard it, it sounded very familiar to me, and I think it's possible that World kind of "evolved" into The Deepest Blues Are Black from "In Your Honor". World slowly builds up into rocker of a song, and although it is somewhat repetative, it still carries most of the weight of this EP. Track 5 is a cover of a Cream song, I Feel Free. I'll admit, I've never heard the original, but the Foo Fighters certainly did it gratitude, as the song is very well done. I Feel Free is old school punk, but the next song is truly punk. FFL (Fat F***ing Lies) is heavy, fast, and gives Dave a chance to scream his guts out.

My personal opinion is that this EP is worth buying. "In Your Honor" was somewhat light on the heavy tracks (only 10 of them). This EP gives you at least 3 more (World, I Feel Free, FFL), plus Skin And Bones which would have fit well on the acoustic half of "In Your Honor". I should mention that all of these songs are on the "In Your Honor" singles (FFL is on the Best Of You single, I Feel Free and Skin And Bones are on the DOA single, and World is on the Resolve single). But since most people do not buy singles, this EP is a great way to hear these songs all in one place."
