It is amazing how many essential songs The Fixx have created. This collection gathers their biggest tracks from the MCA years, which is when they were at their most popular. The only complaint I could see someone making here is that "Stand or Fall" and "Red Skies" are the React album versions, rather than the originals. These are excellent versions, but I'm sure folks would rather have the popular ones they know. To represent React, I'd rather they'd included the magnificent "Big Wall", or either of the other two studio tracks, both of which are outstanding.

For the completist, this is the only appearance on CD of the 12" version of "Built for the Future". It's also one of only two CD releases of "A Letter to Both Sides" (not counting the Fletch soundtrack) and one of very few CD appearances of the incredible "Deeper and Deeper" (b-side to "Are We Ourselves"). These tracks make this collection a must-have even if you already own all the studios albums (which I do).
