Herbert von Karajan conducts the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra in famous ballets: Gaîté Parisienne (highlights) by Jacques Offenbach (Arranged by Manuel Rosenthal); Ballet Music from the opera Faust, by Charles Gounod; The Sleeping Beauty (Suite Op. 66), by Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky; Coppélia (Suite) by Léo Delibes; Les Sylphides, by Frédéric Chopin (orchestration by Roy Douglas); Boléro, by Maurice Ravel. These are ADD recordings, made 1961 (Chopin & Delibes), 1966 (Ravel), and 1972. They have rarely been equalled, and never been surpassed.
